april 7th and 9th fishing report 2008

April 9, 2008

FOG!!!!!! on the 7th kept us close to the boat ramp. we tied on some chug bugs and headed to the flats. after catching several specks bluefish and spanish mike baggett connected on this huge spanish…

 

 

 

 

 

we eneded the day with…

6 specks

3 spanish

6 bluefish

all but the fish above released to fight another day.

april 9th found the wind blowing 20 out of the east but billy (11 y/o) would not be taken home. we tied on doa shrimp and started working the flats. an hour later we found some nice specks. we quickly put a dozen in the boat.

billy wanted a redfish so we headed to some docks to see if we could take care of his request. first cast and he was on…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

we caught several more and ended the day on a good note!

we kept 4 nice specks for frying…

we left the dock with a stiff wind from the east but it soon died as the wind shifted to the south east. we anchored up and it did not take long and both jeff and nikki started reeling in some very nice white trout…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

we ended the day with 30 plus BIG trout!

First trip of 2008

January 5th i took Bert and his friend Matt out for some redfish and trout…we sure started the year out right!

November 16th-November 21st 2007 fishing before turkey day!

November 22, 2007

the 16th found us in search of bull reds. we got there late but managed 2.

 

 

 

 

 

the 18th found it rough so we stayed in the lagoon and found plenty of white trout.

 

 

 

 

 

we braved ourselves out on the 20th in the gulf and was rewarded with some nice redfish. here is blake with a 20lb red his first!

 

 

 

 

 

we came back in before it got to rough and bagged alot of trout!

 

 

 

 

 

the 21st started out awesome. 75 trout for a fish fry!

 

 

 

 

 

we then tried to go intpo the gulf but is was way to rough. started jigging in the bay a found three really big reds!

here is granddad with a 27 lb hog!

 

 

 

 

 

a great four days of fishing!
