june 18th to june 26th 2009 inshore fishing report
k this high pressure system has been nice but hey we need some rain and a little low pressure sometimes too!
the fishing has really been fading due to the high that has been over us but quickly improved once we got two afternoons of some really heavy rain.
i had mark last week with flyrod wanting to hook up on some saltwater fish. did not take mark long and he was boating specks and spanish.
is this what they mean when they say spanish fly?
">
mark with his first speck on fly…
">
yesterday i had bill who loves to bass fish using a chug bug to catch this nice speck…
">
we caught blue fish specks lady fish and pompano.
i met up with andrew around 11 am that day. we worked topwater and ended up catching about 20 specks up to 2 pm. here is andrew with a nice 2.5lb speck caught around 130pm. who said top water was only an early morning technique…
">
today the speck bite was HOT. south wind and 2 feet of water and plenty of explosions. bob and cici put 25 specks in the boat…we kept 9 for a nice fish fry this weekend…
">
i hope you enjoy the pictures. if you would like to be pampered for a day just call capt wes and let him take you on more than just a fishing trip.
tight lines and great fishing adventures!
