august 8th 2007 gator trout
Launched out of Bill Dixon boat launch. This is a really nice launch. We had a NW wind blowing about 10mph. We were rigged with…
my favorite topwater lure a chugbug rigged with a 25lb floracarbon leader to keep the bluefish from cutting off.
We hit the barrier island and start casting and quickly both Rob and Lori are bowed up with nice fish.
Here is the first catches of the day…

After catching plenty of these bluefish with a couple of small specks we decided to go in search of a gator trout.
Lori quickly found a nice speck on a mirrolure with red and white color…

It was Rob’s birthday and he was given a GREAT present…

26 inches and 5 lbs plus…awesome!!!!!
Until another great fishing adventure with capt wes…tight lines!
God Bless
Capt Wes
